Got something to tell
a driver?

Why people use reg-chat
Sometimes you just need to reach someone — and all you have is their plate.
Lights left on
Spotted a car in the car park with its headlights on? Let them know before the battery dies.
Blocking access
Someone's parked across your driveway. Send a polite message without leaving a note on the windscreen.
Vehicle defect
Noticed a flat tyre, dragging exhaust, or brake light out on the road? Alert the driver safely.
Dog in a hot car
Saw a dog locked in a car on a warm day? Alert the owner before it becomes an emergency.
Bumped in a car park
Witnessed someone clip a parked car and drive off? Leave a message for the owner.
Great driving
Someone let you out, helped you park, or was just brilliant on the road. Tell them.
How it works
Sending takes 30 seconds. No account required.
Enter the registration
Type in the UK reg plate of the vehicle you want to message. No account needed — anyone can send.
Write your message
Keep it short and helpful. Messages are capped at 500 characters. Abusive or spam messages are automatically flagged.
The owner claims their plate
Plate owners sign up once and claim their registration. From then on, any messages sent to that plate land in their inbox.
They read it
The owner sees your message in their dashboard. Unread messages are highlighted so nothing gets missed.
Safety messages get priority
If your message relates to a vehicle defect, dangerous driving, or road safety, it's automatically flagged. Safety-critical messages are highlighted in the recipient's inbox so they can't be missed.
In a future update, unclaimed plates will receive a physical letter in the post for safety-critical messages — ensuring the message always gets through.
Private by design
Senders never see who owns a plate, and owners never see who sent a message. We don't store IP addresses — only an anonymised hash — and messages are automatically deleted after 90 days.
